Job Summary:

The Business Development Project Coordinator supports the business development and estimating team efforts, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new Transportation Technology Services, Smart Infrastructure, and Intelligent Transportation Systems markets.

Responsible for assisting with all Business Development and Estimating team activities on an assigned regional basis and/or national basis: from “lead generation” through project definition, proposal preparation, market research and analysis, and related client interactions required to secure a firm order or contract and maintain customer relationships.

Overall Responsibility:

A member of the Business Development Team providing direct support to the Lumin8 Growth function including Business Development and Estimating, as well as other Lumin8 functional departments and existing as well as perspective customers. This role includes but is not limited to market research, opportunity tracking/ analysis, maintaining databases, preparing event/conference logistics, as well as a complete range of administrative duties.

To excel in this role, you must enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, have excellent communication skills, and be comfortable working periodically in a remote environment. Travel (approximately 10-20%) may be required to company offices and conferences.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Direct support to Business Development Manager and BD Team.

· Coordinates business opportunities and queries with customers and projects

· Update the CRM/pipeline database daily with leads and updates.

· Track results of submitted bids/proposals and provide feedback.

· Assist with the bid and/or prequalification process, i.e., filling in forms and gathering signatures.

· Actively participate in the development of technical proposals

· Update and maintain the regional customer contact lists and project references.

· Attend and travel as needed to meetings/conferences/events as required.

· Assist with coordinating logistics for events/conferences, including managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, and ordering marketing materials as needed.

· Conduct market research including data analysis.

· Manage a variety of government procurement websites to track potential leads.

· Assists with the development and tracking of “New Business Opportunities.”

· Assists with the creation of marketing materials.

· Assist with developing and managing content for social media marketing.

· Assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective clients.

· Provide effective administrative support to the Business Development and Estimating and Engineering team.

· Flexibility to adapt to other duties as assigned.

Skills and Attributes:

· Proficient with Microsoft: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· A self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including copywriting and proofreading.

· Must have strong organizational management skills.

· Must exhibit a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

· Must have strong analytical skills.

· Skill in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with employees and customers.

· Ability to exercise good judgment, tact, and diplomacy in all customer and employee interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field or 5 years of related professional experience.

· 1-2 years of professional experience

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, i.e., Word/Excel/Power Point.

· Strong vocabulary, spelling, and grammar for professionally written correspondence.

  • Maintain a professional appearance and provide a positive company image to customers commensurate with the position.

· Database experience and accurate data entry skills

  • Occasional travel required (approximately 10-20%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and/or Business preferred but not required.
  • Experiencing in working with Salesforce or other CRM is preferred but not required.

· Graphic Design experience is preferred but not required.

  • Motivated self-starter, able to independently formulate and execute tasks.
  • Ability to interact with people in a team-oriented, respectful, and efficient manner, thereby maximizing effectiveness and time management.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to company and its current insurance carrier.

Working Conditions:

  • Normal in-office working hours. Some remote work may be required during travel days.
  • Willing to demonstrate flexibility in work hours, assignments and scope of work as required to meet objectives of the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
